erlang - Mnesia, select and secondary indexes -

i created indexes table , have question. mnesia:select use secondary indexes?

from http://www.erlang.org/doc/efficiency_guide/tablesdatabases.html

there exceptions when complete table not scanned, instance if part of key bound when searching ordered_set table, or if mnesia table , there secondary index on field selected/matched.
