php - Please help out of this error if i am using union than got a error me -

$sql_new=$sql1. union .$sql2;

this expression gives following error notice:

use of undefined constant union - assumed 'union' in php

$sql_new=$sql1 . " union " . $sql2;

you have put strings quotes php knows it's string.
